Christy has over 30 years of competitive swimming experience. Her senior years were spent under Olympic coach Jack Ridley on the west coast. Christy's coaching experience started in 1990 in Issaquah, Washington as an assistant coach with the Klahanie Sharks summer league team. Before moving to Virginia, she spent two years as head coach of the Castle Pines Stingrays summer league team in Centennial, Colorado. I coached with the Braemar Blasters for two winter seasons and a summer season before coming onboard with Kingsbrooke last year. As her children began to show interest in the sport, Christy began to pursue USA Swimming coaching certification. During the year-round season, she coaches many age groups for Riptide Swim Team.
Head Assistant Coach Jacob Joodfellow jacob@kbsealions.com
Jacob spent five summers serving as an assistant coach for the Kingsbrooke Sea Lions and three summers working with our Pups/Developmental swim program. Jacob has an extensive swim background that includes thirteen summers with the Wellington Dolphins and two summers with the Kingsbrooke Sea Lions. In addition to summer swim, Jacob swam year round for five years; first at Occoquan (OCCS), and second under Coach Jeremy Linn at QDD. Over the past year Jacob has been in the Ukraine doing mission work. Jacob has one year of swimming under Coach Tim Powers at Brigham Young University where he will return in the fall.
